Full Professor
For the past decade, his research interests have been associated with electromagnetic modeling of complex grounding grids, relay protection, and transient analysis of electrical power systems, with emphasis on lightning surges. His work focuses on the electromagnetic transient analysis of electrical power systems in new circuimstances that include renewable energy sources (RES) integration.
Today, his research portfolio also includes machine learning and has the objective of supporting the integration of renewable energy generation into power systems, with special emphasis on the transient stability analysis.
His hobbies include mountain hiking and sailing.
