Associate Professor

Dino Lovrić

Dino Lovrić was born in Split in 1983, where he completed his primary, secondary, and higher education. He obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Split in 2007. In 2013, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled "Transient Electromagnetic Model of Grounding Systems in Horizontally Layered Multi-Layered Media" under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Slavko Vujević. He is currently a researcher and associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture in Split.
His primary research interests are related to development of numerical models of grounding systems in various types of soil under scenarios of alternating current and transient current dissipation (caused by lightning strikes and switching overvoltages). In addition, he is actively involved in the development of models for various dynamic and transient processes in power systems using modern numerical methods.
His hobbies include mountaineering, fishing, running and tennis.
